Influence of Gas Inlet Slit Width on Gas-Assisted Plastic Micro-Tube Extrusion

چکیده
In the process of double-layer gas-assisted extrusion plastic micro-tubes, external size and surface quality micro-tubes are greatly affected by assisting gas inlet slit inside mold. Therefore, in this experiment, a two-phase flow model was established based on compressible non-compressible melt. The Polyflow finite element solution software module used to solve velocity field, temperature pressure section melt under condition mold different widths. results show that, with an increase width slit, outlet increases, wall thickness shrinkage interior diameter expansion increases. extrusion, air cushion is adjusting and, hence, changes shape micro-tubes.

The Micro Slit Gas Detector
We describe the first tests with a new proportional gas detector. Its geometry consists in slits opened in a copper metallized kapton foil with 30 μm anode strips suspended in these openings. In this way the multiplication process is similar to a standard MSGC. The fundamental difference is the absence of an insulating substrate around the anode. Also the material budget is significantly reduce...

Micro-forming is a miniaturization technology with great potential for high productivity. Some technical challenges, however, need to be addressed before micro-forming becomes a commercially viable manufacturing process. These challenges include severe tribological conditions, difficulty in achieving desired tolerances, and short tool-life due to inability of available die materials to withstan...

Effects of Furnace and Inlet Gas Mixture Temperature on Growing Carbon Nanotube in a CVD Reactor
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs), nowadays, are one of the important nanomaterials that can be produce with different methods such as chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Growing of CNTs via CVD method can be influenced by several operating parameters that can affect their quality and quantity. In this article, the effects of inlet gas mixture temperature on CNT’s local growth rate, total production, and le...
